Entry Thread: Pink

 In honour of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the first POTW theme for October is fittingly, PINK.

A fellow SPN'er r9stedt is spearheading an awareness project of Pink photos for breast cancer awareness. Our goal is to bring all photos together by October 10th, and combine them into a video collage to help spread awareness and encourage support for those who have fought, are fighting or will fight this terrible disease. Your submission to the weekly POTW can still be from your archives, but our hope is that this theme will encourage you to take a new pink photo in honour of this campaign, and that perhaps you will send it in to be included with the video collage. The reference to breast cancer awareness does not need to be (but of course can be) overt. It is still however you choose to interpret it.

Schedule reminder:
Wednesday October 6, 12:00pm (PST): submissions deadline (enter as a comment to this thread)
Wednesday October 6, 2:00pm (PST): all entries will be posted on/around 2pm. voting will commence
Thursday October 7, 11:59pm (PST): voting closed
Friday October 8: top 3 viewer's choice winners announced on/around noon PST.

Remember that you have the option to enter competitively, or non-competitively. Please make a note in your entry comment if you want to be VOTING or NO VOTING. Remember to post your SN as well, and ensure its a public permanent link of your photo (ends in .jpg, not set to private viewing only on flickr. must be clickable/downloadable I believe).

Note: while this blog is open to public viewing (and we welcome your support!), we ask that submissions only come from posters/lurkers from either The Bump photography board or the Secret Photo Nerds board. It is intended to be a forum where we can challenge and celebrate our community. If you are interested in joining either of these communities, follow the hyperlinks above, or message me. (TB is a free and public community board. SPN is by registration with a small yearly fee. It is incredibly active and well worth the cost for access to the resources and community base.)
